This concert sees the launch of our world premiere recording of John Weldon's 'The Judgment of Paris' with the Academy of Ancient Music and Cambridge Handel Opera.

Weldon's work unexpectedly won the legendary 'Musick Prize' in 1701. As such, our concert will re-enact this competition in miniature with arias by each of the competitors whose version of William Congreve's 'The Judgment of Paris' survives: John Weldon, John Eccles and Daniel Purcell.
