Vivaldi adds a touch of Italian flair with his Cello Concerto, filled with virtuosic demands and dramatic contrasts that let the soloist’s expressive and technical skills shine. The programme opens with Jean-Marie Leclair's Sonata for Two Violins in E minor, a work that highlights Leclair's supreme mastery of lyrical dialogue.
