Hauntingly beautiful, reflective 18th-century music for the season before Christmas. Works for baroque oboe and trumpet with voices and organ, including chorale preludes by the great JS Bach, as well as music by his rarely heard contemporary Georg Kauffmann (Bach's rival for the post of Capellmeister in Leipzig) and his pupils Ludwig Krebs and Gottfried Homilius.
