Handel: Israel in Egypt
After a three-year hiatus due to Covid, the English Baroque Choir is delighted to be returning to St John’s Smith Square, alongside the period instrumental ensemble Endelienta Baroque and excellent soloists from the Royal Academy of Music, to present Handel’s intensely dramatic oratorio Israel in Egypt.

Widely regarded as one of his most successful and best-loved oratorios, listen as Handel’s music brings the story of Exodus to life with vivid and distinctive depictions of the plagues as well as Moses’ parting of the Red Sea. Unique in its conception and dazzling in its choral writing – frogs, flies, pestilence, lice, locusts, hailstones and more await you on18th March!
