Boughton’s extensive collection of dance choreographies provides the inspiration for a one-hour concert, a sumptuous costumed display of dances that were popular in the Courts of England, France and Germany, with music by Handel and his contemporaries.

Following the concert, there is the opportunity to learn some simple patterned dances typically danced at social occasions such as private and public Balls, with live musical accompaniment. Guests that wish to dress in 18th-century costume for this occasion are warmly encouraged to do so and advice on suitable suppliers can be supplied by emailing info@brookstreetband.co.uk
