To a programme including two Baroque masterpieces – Carissimi’s oratorio 'Jephthe' (c.1648) and Blow’s opera 'Venus and Adonis' (c.1681-4) – La Nuova Musica adds some new music in the shape of an oratorio by the British/Australian composer Luke Styles, whose Voices of Power was an immediate success at the 2022 Three Choirs Festival.
