In this programme, the Casulana Lute Consort performs refined arrangements of well-known French airs de cours and dances for various lute-family instruments, and songs with lute ensemble accompaniment – a journey into a forgotten but charming and magical sound world heard in courts, great houses and theatres four hundred years ago.

Music by Vallet, Casulana, Giaches de Ponte, Rogier, Praetorius, Lassus, Ferretti, Roquelay, Crecquillon, Andrea Gabrieli, and Guedron.

Saturday 10th February at 4.30pm (doors open 4.00pm) at the Dutch Church, 7 Austin Friars, off Old Broad Street, London EC2N 2HA (nearest tubes: Bank, Liverpool Street). Tickets also available on the door.
