Linnet Baroque
Fragrant Flora! Haste, Appear!
A concert to welcome in the Spring
Linnet Baroque presents informative and carefully researched programmes, with a focus on English baroque & early classical repertoire. The pool of talented and experienced musicians, led by Elin Harries, soprano, add interesting and light-hearted anecdotes to their performances, specialising in the virtuosic 'bird song' genre, so popular in the works of Handel and his peers, also, music written for domestic entertainment, much of it languishing in obscurity.
