luminatus ensemble
Songs of devotion and love
a sequence of music in celebration of heavenly and earthly love
It will feature the luminatus vocal ensemble, described in recent reviews as 'excellent', 'spine tingling' and a group 'of exceptional ability'. The music performed includes pieces from their highly acclaimed recent CD O Beata Virgo Maria, which explores previously unrecorded pieces by Franceso Guerrero and Tiburtio Massiano. There will also be a chance to hear a few selections from their next CD, Love Divine, due for release in March 2025, which will feature previously unrecorded music by Tiburtio Massaino, Ippolito Baccusi, Cipriano de Rore and Phillipe de Monte.
This is a small ensemble of singers, each member a capable and established solo singer able to blend and adapt their musical style and sound to suit the needs of this wide ranging repertoire. Any money raised from the concert will be used to support the St Lawrence Church roof appeal. Tickets will be available locally, and on the door. Drinks will be available from 18.45, with the music starting at 19.30, and no interval.
