Lunchtime Chamber Concert - Bach Suites
Jadran Duncumb and Alex Rolton will perform three of JS Bach’s beautiful Cello Suites on a standard baroque cello, a 5-string cello and a lute. These extraordinary suites represent a musical summit for cellists, with suite no.6 specifically written for a five-stringed cello.
The Plough Chapel lends itself to chamber music, an intimate venue with raked seating in the heart of town. The first chapel on this site was a meeting room in a building also used as a pub called The Plough, which stood on this spot when JS Bach was born.
