The role of the Evangelist will be sung by James Oxley, with Jonathan Arnold as Christ and Ben Davies as Pilate. They are joined by Emilia Bertolini, Rebecca Leggett, and Thomas Kelly, alongside our exceptional orchestra and chorus. This year’s chorus brings together alumni of our Choral Scholarship Scheme and our new scholars, creating a truly rich and collaborative sound.

This Easter, the Oxford Bach Soloists invite you to experience one of Johann Sebastian Bach’s most compelling works, the St John Passion. Performed across two evenings, the piece tells the story of the Passion with intimacy and drama, brought to life by a superb lineup of musicians.
