Queen Victoria's Consort

Brass in Motion

Celebrating 200 Years of the Railway

Steve Robson | The friends of the Stockton & Darlington Railway
Brass in Motion

continuo logoSupported by a grant from Continuo Foundation

Queen Victoria’s Consort will be performing over three days at historical railway venues to celebrate the bicentenary of the first railway. We have had bespoke arrangements made by Steve Robson of music that we know was played at early railway events between 1825 & 1840. All of the music will be brought to life on stunning original instruments and we will be interacting with the visitors to the venues.

This is the culmination of a two year project to celebrate this historic anniversary, with thanks to Continuo Foundation and the Friends of the S&DR who made the recording of this music possible.
