Richard MacKenzie is hailed as “one of the rising stars of the British lute scene” by Early Music Today.

A soloist and collaborative artist on early and classical guitars and lutes, his many collaborations include The Sixteen, The King’s Consort, Ex Cathedra, the Royal Opera House and Shakespeare’s Globe. This enchanting concert exploring music from the 16th to 18th centuries will introduce us to the worlds of the Renaissance lute, Swedish theorbo and romantic guitar including English works by Dowland and the ever-popular ‘Greensleeves’, along with pieces by French and Italian masters of these instruments.
