Bojan Čičić

Sounate a Cembalo Certato è Violino Solo

Steven Devine
Sounate a Cembalo Certato è Violino Solo
For the second of our winter series, we are delighted to welcome back baroque violinist Bojan Čičić, who enthralled our audience with the complete J.S. Bach solo repertoire last season. On this occasion, he will be joined by one of today’s leading harpsichordists worldwide, and also no stranger to SSEMK audiences, Steven Devine. Following their inclusion in the All-of Bach series for the online treasure trove of the Netherlands Bach Society, they have just recorded BWV 1014-19.

Of a recent Handel CD recording, Classical Music Daily reported: “Čičić and Devine interpret these masterpieces in miniature with infectious warmth and extraordinary dexterity, and the whole programme is not only a feast for the ears but also a joy for the heart". Bach’s masterpieces are no miniatures, they promise a cascade of music to remember.
