The Four Seasons ‘Le quattro stagione’

The Four Seasons ‘Le quattro stagione’
A world-renowned soloist, Festival Associate Artist Rachel Podger has established herself as a leading interpreter of the Baroque and Classical music periods. Last year, she was awarded both the 2023 BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Year and Instrumental prize for her solo album Tutta Sola. Alongside her busy solo diary, she is Principal Guest Director for Tafelmusik for the 24/25 and 25/26 seasons, Artist in Focus at Kings Place 23/24, Patron for the Continuo Foundation and an Ambassador for the Learned Society of Wales.

A creative programmer, Rachel is also the founder and Artistic Director of Brecon Baroque Festival, and her ensemble Brecon Baroque, a dynamic group consisting of an international line-up of world-class virtuosi in the period-instrument world, joins her on stage this evening for a Festival debut. Together they specialise in one-to-a-part repertoire and tonight, alongside Vivaldi’s masterpiece The Four Seasons, their programme explores a series of lesser-known works by the great composer and his contemporary Johann Adolf Hasse.
