A grand tour of Italy's finest instrumental and vocal works
Based on a grand tour of Italy, the concert includes instrumental works by composers Corelli, Marini, Merula and Monteverdi and sacred vocal works by lesser-known composers Graziani, Cazzati, Cozzolani and Ciampi. The concert concludes in the city of Rome where G.F. Handel first met Corelli, with Calder ending their tour with Handel’s "Piangerò la sorte mia" from his Italian opera, Giulio Cesare.

Calder Consort will be returning to St Mary's Church, Banbury on 28th September 2024 to perform as part of the Banbury Early Music Festival, premiering their new concert programme, 'Dolce Voci e Armonie.'
