About

Saxon Shore Early MusicKenardington is based at the Church of St. Mary Kenardington, near Ashford, TN26 2NQ and presents two series of concerts, one in the spring, the other starting in November. The church was restored, prior to the first series of concerts in 2015. It boasts underfloor heating and a reception room making the beautiful church suitable for concerts in all seasons. Out patron is the early keyboard specialist Linda Nicholson, and the artistic director is Dr Stephen Coles, who previously had thirty years in that role at Tudeley Festival, also in Kent. Their combined experience has brought, not only musicians of the younger generation to perform, but international artists from across the globe.

Seating is limited to 100. Many of our patrons have commented about the wonderful lively but warm acoustic the church affords and the personal welcome to this most intimate of venues. We look forward to welcoming you to SSEMK!
